Thanks to a special Ohio state program, your gift to the Angel Scholarship Fund may qualify you for a tax credit—dollar-for-dollar off your state taxes. It’s a win-win: you’ll be helping our students and families, and you’ll receive a tax benefit in return. The process of making a gift is easy! Here are the simple steps:
- Review your Tax Liability: Review your taxes from last year to see your Ohio income tax liability (Form 1040 IT, Line 8c)
- Make Your Gift: Click here to contribute to the Angel Scholarship Fund. Designate Lake Catholic High School on the dropdown menu. An individual can receive a tax credit of up to $750.00 and those married filing jointly can claim a tax credit up to $1,500.
- Claim Your Tax Credit: After making your donation, you will receive a confirmation letter detailing your contribution. You can then submit this letter when filing your taxes for the state tax credit.
- See the Impact: Know that your gift is helping students receive the life-changing opportunity of a Lake Catholic education—an opportunity that they may not have had otherwise. Last year, nearly 75 Lake Catholic community members contributed to the Angel Scholarship, which was able to be awarded to 55 deserving Lake Catholic students this year!
